Hugh joined Novum as Chief Executive in 2009 becoming Chairman in 2018. Having begun his career in the City in 1978, his most recent position was as cofounder of Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander Capital Markets which he helped build from a start-up business to one generating substantial profits across its trading and capital markets platforms. He brings a wealth of experience to AlbR, having worked at a number of the leading investment banks including 12 years (1994-2006) at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson where he was a Managing Director running European Trading. Hugh became Chairman of AlbR on its formation in October 2025

Charlie joined Novum as Chief Operating Officer in April 2009 becoming Chief Executive in 2018. Prior to that Charlie has held management positions at Morgan Stanley, Man Financial and latterly Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander Capital Markets where he was responsible for developing the systems, platform and operations of its very successful cash equities and derivatives business. Charlie became Chief Executive Officer of AlbR on its formation in October 2025
Charlie graduated from King's College London with a degree in History.
